2024 HPS Lecture Series Programme

HPS Pharmacies’ lecture series is integral to the professional services provided to our client’s facilities. 

The HPS Pharmacies lecture series offers in-service educational programs covering new medicines, side effects, adverse reactions to medicines and other relevant issues.

The lectures assist in keeping nursing and medical staff abreast of current trends in pharmaceutical care throughout the year, typically released at the beginning of every month. Additional lectures are released in response to any developing issues.

HPS Pharmacies continues to provide select lectures in a webinar format with a link to each recording.

The topics are selected based on client feedback and integrated with a needs analysis conducted by the visiting clinical pharmacists. The lectures are written by HPS’ pharmacists with specialist knowledge on each topic. The completed lecture and further reading are available to all HPS pharmacists to present to their clients.

Your visiting HPS pharmacist can assist in tailoring a lecture program suitable for your facility, including lectures which may be required on a particular topic not covered by the current program. Attending staff are provided with handouts that include a self-assessment tool to assist the learning process and may be used to contribute toward their ‘Continuing Professional Development’ (CPD).

Each lecture can also be adapted to suit any audience or group size. HPS offers a range of presentation styles, from a brief presentation to an in-depth discussion for staff, and can adapt material for participants who may not have a medical background.

HPS Lecture Series webcast recordings

Through the HPS Lecture Series, we also offer a selection of topics presented by HPS Pharmacies pharmacists delivered via an online ‘webcast’. Attendees must pre-register to attend and access the recordings.

These educational presentations can be replayed at a later date, are accompanied by Lecture notes and contribute to CPD hours to meet the standards set for professional registration purposes.
