Peter Magdapoulos

National Business Development Manager, HPS

Peter Magdapoulos joined HPS in 2014 and is the National Manager – Business Development. During his tenure, Peter has held several senior leadership roles across HPS, including State Operations Manager for NSW/ACT, supporting his end‑to‑end experience across hospital pharmacy operations, service delivery and commercial management. He brings more than 20 years’ experience across community pharmacy and public and private hospital settings, with strong expertise in healthcare services, commercial structuring and complex service environments.

Peter currently leads HPS’ national growth strategy, overseeing the origination, negotiation and execution of major healthcare services agreements. He has a central role in delivering acquisitions and greenfield developments, establishing scalable and sustainable service models and supporting capital‑backed expansion across hospital pharmacy and adjacent healthcare services.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (First Class Honours) from the University of Sydney and is AHPRA‑registered. He is a recipient of the EBOS Group Great Efforts Matter (GEM) Award and the Dr Holsman Award for Innovation.

Zoe O’Brien joined HPS in 2022 and is currently the National Manager – Pharmacy Operations – dedicated to Calvary, Corrections, Genesis, St Andrews, RFDS and Independents.

In this role, she is responsible for the operational and financial performance of HPS pharmacies, with a strong focus on efficiency, contract management and client engagement.

Zoe is an AHPRA registered pharmacist with more than 10 years’ experience across community, public and private hospital pharmacy in Australia and Vanuatu. Prior to joining HPS, she held senior leadership roles including Pharmacy Area Manager with Ramsay Pharmacy and Pharmacy Training Officer with Vanuatu’s Ministry of Health through Australian Aid.

Zoe is passionate about developing strong leaders, fostering high performing team cultures, and driving operational excellence across pharmacy operations and the broader HPS business.

Zoe holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from La Trobe University, Bendigo (VIC).

Caren Baayens joined HPS in 2015 and is currently a National Manager – Pharmacy Operations dedicated to SJOG and Ramsay. She commenced her career with HPS in Western Australia as part of the project team responsible for commissioning and developing pharmacy services at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospital.

She subsequently worked at St John of God Health Care (Kings Square) as Clinical Pharmacist Advisor for Policy and Medication Safety before returning to HPS as Director of Pharmacy at Midland and later progressing into a national operations role.

Caren is responsible for pharmacy operations across St John of God and Ramsay Health Care hospitals and brings extensive operational knowledge gained through her experience across HPS and Western Australian public hospitals.

Caren holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Curtin University in (WA).

Fei-Pin (Fei) joined HPS in 2023 and is currently the National Pharmacy Operations Manager for Healthscope, St Vincents and NSW Health In her role, Fei champions the needs of our clients and is passionate about nurturing HPS’ pharmacy teams to provide a high level of service and building a collaborative workplace culture.

She also manages the financial and operational performance of the HPS Pharmacies within her remit. Prior to joining HPS in 2023, Fei has worked within the pharmacy space for over 15 years across community pharmacy, Aged Care pharmacy operations, and pharmacy Category Management. She previously held roles within HPS as Pharmacy Manager at HPS Moorabbin and the Operations Manager of VIC/QLD/NT.

Fei holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Monash University Melbourne.

Catherin Bennett joined EBOS Group in 2019 and is currently the Head of Marketing and Communications for the Institutional Healthcare portfolio. In this role, she leads the development and delivery of marketing and communications strategy across brands including HPS and Symbion Hospitals.

Catherin is responsible for driving employee engagement, supporting leadership capability development, enabling effective change management, and building brand recognition and consideration in the market.

She works closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver corporate requirements, shape clear and compelling messaging, and elevate brand profiles across multiple channels to support both short and long term business strategies.

Catherin holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDipMgt) from Macquarie University and is currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Art Degree (BFA) with Curtin University.

Darren Whiteford joined HPS in 2015 and is currently the Director of Finance. He is a Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years’ experience across large listed and blue chip organisations in Sydney, New York and London, and is currently based in Adelaide.

Darren commenced his career at Ernst & Young Sydney and has since held senior leadership roles focused on process improvement, change management and innovation at organisations including QBE, AMP, Boral, CBA and BAE Systems.

A highly regarded finance leader, Darren is known for his integrity, engaging leadership style and ability to build high performing teams. He has led extensive finance organisational redesigns, ERP implementations, IPOs, business sales, and major process and financial control review projects.

Darren holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Minor Law) degree with University of NSW and is a Chartered Accountant.

Jason Chan joined HPS in 2017 and is currently the National Manager – Digital Systems. He is a registered pharmacist, Certified Health Informatician Australasia (CHIA), and digital health leader with more than a decade of experience across clinical pharmacy, health informatics and digital transformation.

In his role, Jason leads the design and implementation of innovative solutions that enhance medication management, pharmacy operations and patient safety. His expertise includes system integration, pharmacy robotics and the application of artificial intelligence in clinical workflows.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Monash University and a Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics and Digital Health from the University of Melbourne. He is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Advanced Pharmacy (FANZCAP) in Informatics, Leadership and Management.

Gabriella Pett joined HPS firstly in 2019 and 2023 as a Technician, Intern, Correctional Pharmacist and Senior Locum Pharmacist she has rejoined in 2023
and is currently the National Manager – Supply Chain Partnerships. In this role, she leads national procurement and inventory, working closely with supplier partners to secure best in market pricing and access through HPS’s Supplier Partnership Platform for healthcare clients.

Gabriella is a registered pharmacist with experience across public and private hospitals, aged care, IVF, primary and custodial health. She combines strong clinical insight with commercial expertise to improve quality, efficiency and patient outcomes across the HPS network.

Gabriella holds Bachelor of Science with research honours in biochemistry and physiology, Master of Pharmacy and Post Graduate in Commerce, specialising in supply chain, finance and human resource management from the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney and RMIT University and is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Advanced Pharmacy (ANZCAP).

Samantha Callier joined HPS in 2025 and is currently the National Manager – Pharmacy Standards. In this role, she leads clinical governance, audit, training, compounding compliance and medication safety initiatives across the organisation.

Sam has a strong track record in leading large scale projects, expanding service offerings and fostering innovation to improve patient care across tertiary, private and rural health settings. Her career includes deep expertise in cancer pharmacy, clinical trials and strategic service planning.

Sam holds a Diploma of Project Management and is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Advanced Pharmacy (FANZCAP) in Cancer Medicine and Leadership/Management.
