Accreditation Support
HPS Pharmacies participated in the very first Hospital Accreditation survey in 1980 with specific reference to the Australian Council of Hospital Standards (ACHS), and since then has participated in many surveys with the institutions it services.
We believe the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) standards laid down by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care should be a minimum requirement, and we use these standards as a starting point for improving pharmacy operations and delivery of services.
Practical working knowledge of Quality Improvement has made HPS a useful resource to our clients, able to develop or review their accreditation programs.
As the focus of surveys has changed, we have ensured that our hospital clients develop their programs accordingly.
HPS’ network of HPS Approved Pharmacies’ clinical programs, processes and reporting have always exceeded the minimum requirement set by the NSQHS Standards and have successfully participated and contributed to numerous client accreditation assessments.
