Drug Availability Update

Further to DrugAlert Volume 704, HPS Pharmacies wish to give notice that Perrigo Australia is continuing to experience a supply interruption for Diazepam Rectal Solution as follows:

Diazepam Rectal Solution
Diazepam 5mg/5ml

Additional quality assurance and stability testing has now been completed on the batch due for release. Perrigo has confirmed that this batch has failed quality assurance testing. The cause of this issue has been resolved and production of a new batch can now proceed. Normal supplies are expected to resume in mid-July 2021.

Retain this notice in a prominent position, including in other related business units until supplies return to normal. Report any problems identified with medicines, vaccines or medical devices to the TGA.
