Discontinuation of Xylocaine 0.5% With Adrenaline 1:200,000

HPS Pharmacies wishes to advise that Aspen Pharmacare is discontinuing Xylocaine 0.5% With Adrenaline 1:200,000 injection vials as follows:

Xylocaine 0.5% With Adrenaline 1:200,000 Vial 20mL
Adrenaline (epinephrine) acid tartrate + Lidocaine hydrochloride
ARTG 12008

Aspen advises that the discontinuation is effective immediately. Unfortunately, there is no equivalent product available. Presentations of Xylocaine^® 1% with adrenaline and Xylocaine^® 2% with adrenaline are not affected by this notice.

Retain this notice in a prominent position, including in other related business units for at least one month. Report any problems identified with medicines, vaccines or medical devices to the TGA.
