Drug Availability

HPS Pharmacies wish to advise that Boucher & Muir is anticipating a supply interruption for Primacin^® as follows:

Primacin^® Tablets
Primaquine 7.5 mg
ARTG 226430

Normal supplies are expected to resume from mid-March 2020.

An alternative brand of primaquine 7.5mg, presented in packs of 200 tablets, is available via the Special Access Scheme (SAS). Please note that SAS alternatives are subject to a longer lead time and different pricing as they must be sourced internationally.

Retain this notice in a prominent position, including in other related business units until supplies return to normal. Report any problems identified with medicines, vaccines or medical devices to the TGA.
