LEO Pharma has given notice that Daivobet® gel will be removed from the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) on the 1st November 2021, as follows:
Daivobet® Gel 60g
Calcipotriol 0.005% + Betamethasone (as dipropionate) 0.05%
Prescriptions for Daivobet® gel written prior to 1st November 2021 will still be reimbursed on the PBS for up to 12 months, provided stock is available. Following stock depletion, Daivobet® gel will be discontinued in Australia.
LEO Pharma advises that Enstilar® foam spray (60g) will continue to be available on the PBS. This product contains the same active ingredients as Daivobet® gel, with superior efficacy cited in some studies.1
Retain this notice in a prominent position, including in other related business units for one month. Report any problems identified with medicines, vaccines or medical devices to the TGA.
