2025 HPS Award winners

HPS Pharmacies recently hosted its 2025 National Awards, bringing together colleagues from across Australia in a virtual celebration of achievement, leadership, and teamwork. This year, 52 team members submitted 92 nominations, recognising 63 outstanding individuals. The event also introduced two new awards: Preceptor of the Year and Intern of the Year.

The ceremony spotlighted exceptional contributions and the collective success of HPS teams nationwide. In his closing remarks, General Manager David Gulland emphasised the importance of peer recognition and the positive impact of teamwork across the HPS.

Key achievements for 2025 included digital transformation, strong financial performance, market expansion, and the upcoming integration of AI into daily operations—setting the stage for continued growth in 2026.

  • Pharmacist of the Year: Alia Fahmy, SA
    Recognised for mentorship, adaptability, and commitment to best practices.
  • Technician or Support Person of the Year: Kym Murch, Midland, WA
    Recognised for clinical knowledge and inspiring colleagues.
  • Rookie of the Year: Lesa McCann, Lakeside, WA
    Recognised for rapid impact and workflow improvements.
  • Preceptor of the Year: Robert Robertson, Midland, WA
    Recognised for mentorship and intern development.
  • Intern of the Year: Timothy Yeo, Norwest, NSW
    Recognised for enthusiasm, patient care, and leadership.
