HPS Pharmacies wish to give notice that multiple brands of famciclovir 500mg tablets are experiencing a supply interruption as follows:

Normal supplies of famciclovir 500mg tablets are expected to begin to return in March 2021. This supply interruption primarily affects pack sizes of 30 tablets and 56 tablets; famciclovir 500mg is currently still available in packs of 3 tablets. International brands of famciclovir tablets may be accessed via the Special Access Scheme (SAS), if necessary. Please note that SAS alternatives are subject to a longer lead-time and different pricing as they must be sourced internationally.

Retain this notice in a prominent position, including in other related business units until supplies return to normal. Report any problems identified with medicines, vaccines or medical devices to the TGA.
