HPS Pharmacies wish to advise that Viatris is experiencing a supply interruption for Coumadin® tablets as follows:

The supply interruption of Coumadin® 5mg tablets is expected to continue until end-July 2023. Limited supplies of Coumadin® 2mg tablets are expected to continue until 20 March 2023.
To minimise patient impact, Viatris has expedited additional supplies of Coumadin® 1mg and Coumadin® 2mg tablets.
Due to the narrow therapeutic index of warfarin and the lack of data on bioequivalence between brands, Coumadin® is not considered interchangeable with Marevan®. If substituting or switching is unavoidable, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) recommends close monitoring with frequent INR testing.

Retain this notice in a prominent position, including in other related business units until supplies return to normal. Report any problems identified with medicines, vaccines or medical devices to the TGA.
