Drug Availability Update

Further to DrugAlert Volume 588, HPS Pharmacies advise that Pfizer Australia is experiencing a supply interruption for aminophylline ampoules as follows:

DBL™ Aminophylline Injection
Aminophylline 250mg/10mL
ARTG 16355

Supplies are expected to return to normal by end-July 2020. To ensure continuity of supply, Pfizer Australia has arranged an alternative aminophylline product to be available for substitution under Section 19A of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989.

Retain this notice in a prominent position, including in other related business units until supplies return to normal. Report any problems identified with medicines, vaccines or medical devices to the TGA.
