Drug Recall


HPS Pharmacies wish to advise that GlaxoSmithKline Australia, in consultation with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) have given notice of a drug recall of Bactroban® Cream 15g and Bactroban® Nasal Ointment 3g.

This recall is a precautionary measure in response to contamination of the mupirocin calcium active ingredient with sub-visible particulate matter.

Please inspect your stocks and quarantine all products from the batches listed above for return to your supplier for a refund.

Retain this notice in a prominent position, including in other related business units for one month. Report any problems identified with medicines, vaccines or medical devices to the TGA.
