Availability of Lidocaine 1% Ampoules

HPS Pharmacies wish to advise that Bridgewest is experiencing a supply interruption for lidocaine 1% ampoules as follows:

Lidocaine (lignocaine) HCl 1% (50mg/5mL)

Lignocaine Injection
Lidocaine (lignocaine) HCl 1% (200mg/20mL)
ARTG 49297

Normal supplies of Bridgewest Lidocaine Injection 1% 20mL are expected to return in mid-September 2025. Normal supplies of Bridgewest Lidocaine Injection 1% 5mL are expected to return in late August (boxes of 50) to early September 2025 (boxes of 5).

Alternative brands of lidocaine 1% are available, including Lidocaine Noridem, Lidocaine Accord, and Xylocaine. The approved indications and administration instructions may vary between brands. Please consult the product information for further details.

Retain this notice in a prominent position, including in other related business units until supplies return to normal. Report any problems identified with medicines, vaccines or medical devices to the TGA.
