Availability of DBL Acetylcysteine Injection

HPS Pharmacies wish to advise that Pfizer is experiencing a supply interruption for acetylcysteine injection as follows:

DBL Acetylcysteine Injection
Acetylcysteine 2 g/ 10 mL

Normal supplies are expected to return by end-March 2025. HPS Pharmacies is able to source some short-dated (January 2025) stock directly from Pfizer.

There is also an alternative product, Acetylcysteine-Link injection 2g/10mL. This product is currently available at wholesalers, although supplies are expected to be limited until end-January 2025.

Retain this notice in a prominent position, including in other related business units until supplies return to normal. Report any problems identified with medicines, vaccines or medical devices to the TGA.
